AOJ Member Platform

A New Home for the AOJ Community

AOJ profiles, teams, events, discussions, achievements and season rankings are now being brought together directly inside the main Airsoft Online Japan website.

Airsoft Online Japan has discontinued the previous paid AOJ Social platform. Rather than continuing to operate a separate social network, AOJ community features are now being integrated directly into the main website through a custom platform created specifically for AOJ members.

The new system has been designed and developed by Nineteen over the past six months. It connects member profiles, permanent teams, event bookings, forums, messages, achievements, ranks, leaderboards and MVP recognition under one AOJ account.

Instead of maintaining disconnected accounts and duplicated information, each member now has one identity that follows them throughout the AOJ website. Profile images, callsigns, team memberships, event participation and community contributions all remain linked.

Why AOJ Social Was Discontinued

The previous AOJ Social platform required a separate paid system and operated independently from many of the features members already used on the main website.

Moving the community into AOJ itself creates a more consistent experience. Members can now manage their profile, communicate with their team, discuss Airsoft topics and view event-related information without moving between separate platforms.

It also gives AOJ greater control over how the platform develops, allowing features to be built around the actual needs of the community rather than relying on a generic social-network service.

  • No separate paid social platform
  • One member account across AOJ
  • Profiles connected directly to events
  • Teams integrated into the main website
  • Greater control over privacy and access
  • Features designed specifically for AOJ

A Community Built Around Airsoft

The AOJ Forum provides a central place for discussions, technical questions, event planning, team communication and general Airsoft conversation.

Topics, replies and activity are connected to real AOJ member accounts, helping members recognise one another both online and at events.

  • Airsoft-related forum categories
  • Member-created topics and replies
  • Upvotes and downvotes
  • Profile-linked forum activity
  • Private messages between members
  • Notifications for replies and mentions

Everything Connected to One Account

The new platform reduces duplicated data and disconnected systems. Member information is reused throughout AOJ rather than being entered separately in every section.

  • Teams linked to members and leaders
  • Events linked to confirmed bookings
  • MVPs linked to AOJ profiles
  • Ranks based on event participation
  • Achievements based on real activity

The member platform creates a continuing record of participation rather than treating every event as an isolated booking.

Still Under Active Development

The platform is already operational, but it remains an ongoing project. Many features have been built over the past six months, while others are still being tested, refined or prepared for future release.

Some functions and administrative areas are intentionally restricted while development continues. This helps protect member data, maintain stability and prevent unfinished systems from affecting the wider website.

Nineteen plans to continue building on the platform with additional community, team, event and member-management functions. Development will be guided by practical use, member feedback and the needs of AOJ as it continues to grow.

The replacement of AOJ Social is not the end of the community platform. It is the beginning of a system that can be expanded and shaped specifically around Airsoft Online Japan.

Planned for Future Expansion

The system has been structured so new features can be added without requiring AOJ to move to another external social platform.

  • Additional team-management tools
  • Team event attendance and availability
  • Pinned team posts and acknowledgements
  • Improved notifications and messaging
  • Further event and leaderboard integration
  • Ongoing performance and security work
