AIRSOFT ONLINE JAPAN
情熱で築かれたサバゲーコミュニティ
AOJ is an English- and Japanese-friendly airsoft community built around teamwork, immersive games, practical training and a shared passion for the sport.
What began as a small group of players has developed into a growing community with original scenarios, custom-built game equipment and events designed to welcome both experienced players and complete beginners.
OUR STORY
How AOJ Began
AOJ began modestly in 2022 when one of its founders decided to step outside his comfort zone and meet other people who shared his interest in airsoft.
After attending several games with a local community, he decided to try organising his own events despite having no previous experience managing airsoft events.
The first step
The idea for AOJ developed after attending local games and experiencing the value of a welcoming airsoft community.
AOJ officially launched
The community began with approximately 25 players, consisting mainly of friends and acquaintances willing to support something new.
New games and equipment
AOJ developed original scenarios and began constructing electronic props to support immersive objective-based games.
A growing community
AOJ reached more than 200 registered players, with several events selling out weeks before the scheduled game date.
Original scenarios and custom equipment
AOJ includes familiar airsoft game modes while also developing original scenarios focused on teamwork, communication and objective play.
More than 50 game variations have been developed through organiser ideas, player feedback and collaborative community planning.
Technology used on the field
The organising team has built defusable bomb props, countdown timers, domination devices, wireless hacking systems, code breakers and other electronic equipment.
Not every prototype works perfectly on its first deployment, but each event contributes to the continued development of future games.
AOJ’s organisers have personally funded equipment and game props, gradually recovering costs through event tickets. Considerable personal time is invested in event planning, equipment maintenance, administration and developing new games.
THE AOJ EXPERIENCE
What Makes AOJ Unique?
Easy Communication
Events support both English and Japanese communication, allowing international and Japanese players to participate together.
Free Beginner Training
New players can receive guidance covering safety, equipment handling, field rules, communication and basic movement.
Pre-Game Briefings
Team leaders explain objectives and discuss tactics before games so players understand the mission and their responsibilities.
Objective-Based Games
Many games reward communication, planning and mission completion rather than simply eliminating members of the opposing team.
Custom Equipment
Electronic props and interactive objectives create missions that cannot be reproduced using standard airsoft field equipment.
A Welcoming Community
Players can attend without already belonging to an established team or having extensive previous airsoft experience.
EVENT STANDARDS
安全第一
Preparation before problems occur
AOJ organisers and field marshals have completed recognised first-aid and CPR training. Training is updated to maintain familiarity with emergency-response procedures.
Planning, safety briefings, field supervision and suitable medical equipment are treated as essential parts of every event.

FACTION-BASED GAMEPLAY
Building a Stronger Airsoft Community
Forget simple red-versus-yellow teams
AOJ generally avoids coloured tape and armbands. Players are instead assigned to themed factions based on clothing, equipment and preferred gameplay style.
The faction descriptions establish the general atmosphere and tactical style. Players are not expected to roleplay a fixed personality.
HERO FACTION
タスクフォース・オニキス
Task Force Onyx represents AOJ’s disciplined hero faction. Its games typically use stricter light-milsim rules and place greater emphasis on communication, cohesion and coordinated objectives.
- Team-focused
- Organised
- Objective-driven
- Strong command structure
HOSTILE FACTION
ブラック・タロン
Black Talon is AOJ’s feared opposition faction. Its players excel at disruption, aggression and creating confusion across the field.
- Unpredictable
- Disruptive
- Resilient
- Independent operators
FLEXIBLE FACTION
The Syndicate
The Syndicate is a flexible and beginner-friendly faction made up of team players, smaller groups and lone-wolf operators.

- Flexible
- Independent
- Small-group focused
AOJ MASCOT
Meet Bee-tan
The symbol of the AOJ community
The bee was chosen as AOJ’s motif because it represents both tactical precision and the community spirit at the centre of the organisation.
Across many cultures, bees symbolise teamwork, discipline, communication and dedication to shared goals. Every bee contributes to the strength of the hive, just as every player contributes to the success of their team.
Hard work, adaptability and unity are qualities shared by both the bee and the community AOJ continues to build.
