AOJ Social Platform Update

“AOJ social” was introduced to provide members with a dedicated space for groups, posts, discussions, and community interaction directly through the website. In its early stages, the platform saw strong engagement as members connected, shared ideas, and got to know one another.

As those connections grew beyond the platform, many members naturally shifted their day-to-day communication to other channels and messaging tools. While the platform played an important role in helping build those relationships, regular activity has gradually declined and no longer justifies the ongoing monthly licensing costs.

To keep AOJ running efficiently and focus our resources on the features members use most, we have decided to remove the “AOJ social” platform from the homepage.

Running AOJ involves ongoing costs for the website, event bookings, administration, taxation, and other essential services. As these operating costs have increased in recent years, we’ve taken the opportunity to review where our resources are being invested and ensure they are focused on the areas that provide the greatest value to members.

While the “AOJ Social” has been a valuable part of the community, it is no longer a priority compared with the services members rely on most. Rather than continuing to allocate budget to monthly licensing fees for a feature with declining activity, we have chosen to reduce costs in this area and focus our resources on supporting events, bookings, member updates, and the core services that keep the community running smoothly.
