AOJ Halloween Event 2026 – Concept Preview

AOJ is currently planning a large-scale Halloween themed weekend event for October 2026.

This is still in the planning stage, but the concept is a story-driven survival horror event combining airsoft, roleplay, limited ammo, infection mechanics, alliances, and night gameplay. Think Resident Evil (Biohazard) video games, but during the day, leading to night with a whole economy based on ammunition.

The planned structure is currently:

  1. Saturday Day Game
  2. Saturday Night Game (MF Night Operation)
  3. Sunday Day Game

The event concept revolves around a biological outbreak following the Valkyerro incident.

Factions currently planned:

■ Red Band Survivors

Outnumbered fighters trying to survive, scavenge supplies, and uncover the truth behind the outbreak.

■ Black Talon

Private military contractors working for Parasol Pharmaceuticals tasked with spreading and monitoring the infection.

■ Task Force

Operators deployed to contain the outbreak, recover evidence, and prevent total collapse.

■ Infected Horde

An expanding infected force that grows throughout the event. Fast-moving, aggressive, and impossible to permanently eliminate.

The Horde faction is intended to be accessible to everyone, including people who may not normally play airsoft. Horde players would not require guns and would fight entirely through infection and physical contact mechanics. Players would be encouraged to use stealth, ambush tactics, numbers, noise, intimidation, roleplay, and coordinated swarming to overwhelm survivors.

This also means players can attend as Horde-only participants without needing a full airsoft loadout, making the event more accessible for friends, partners, roleplayers, first-time players, or those mainly interested in the horror atmosphere.

Core planned mechanics include:

  • Limited ammo economy
  • Revive and infection systems
  • Hidden infected role cards
  • Day-to-night escalation
  • Uneasy alliances between factions
  • Zombie infection and turning mechanics
  • Survival-focused gameplay instead of standard respawn fighting
  • Optional civilian/roleplay participation possibilities

The intention is to create something very different from a standard skirmish event and build a tense atmosphere where resources become scarce and players must make decisions carefully as the infection spreads.

We are also currently discussing:

  • Possible camping between games
  • Reduced package pricing for players attending multiple games
  • Infected/Horde players get further discounts
  • Full weekend participation options

At this stage we are checking interest levels before final planning begins.

POLL – Which parts would you join?

If we know what our members will want, then we can start planning. October is peak season, so the sooner we can start work, the better.
