AOJ TECHNICAL TRAINING SEMINAR – AEG MAINTENANCE & UPGRADES
Instructor: Nineteen
Duration: 13:00–16:30
Capacity: Limited to 10 participants
Please note: You must be logged in to book tickets
This will be AOJ’s first official technical training seminar led by Nineteen, focused on correct AEG maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability-focused upgrades.
This is a hands-on seminar, not a lecture. Participants will work directly on their own guns and gearboxes under guidance.
Location will be in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
This will be limited to the first 10 people only.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Safe and correct disassembly of your AEG and gearbox
- Hop-up unit disassembly and inspection
- Proper cleaning and maintenance of the gearbox, hop-up unit, and barrel
- Understanding upgradeable parts and what is worth upgrading (and what isn’t)
- Correct reassembly procedures and common mistakes to avoid
- Basic fault identification and prevention
The focus is reliability, correct mechanics, and long-term performance, not speed builds or unrealistic setups.
UPGRADES DURING THE SESSION
If you wish to upgrade parts during the seminar, you are welcome to do so.
Please ensure you bring compatible parts for your specific platform.
Basic parts will be supplied for sale on the day.
REQUIRED TOOLS (MINIMUM)
These tools are the bare minimum needed for the average M4 style platform, if you have a different type of gun, please bring appropriate tools just as allen keys or whatever holds your gun bhody together. Since manufacturers use different screw types, I have added sets that cover a wide range.
- Driver Set (Contains all types od drivers needed)
- Plier Set (Used for fiddly or tough to move parts)
- Tweezer Set (Used for small parts and spring settings)
- Cleaning rags and small brush (old toothbrush is fine)
OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED TOOLS
- Pin Punch Set (For M4 types and other guns using metal pins in the body)
- Grease (If you want to maintain your gun yourself at a later date, otherwise this will be provided during the session)
- Gear Installation Kit (Makes setting the trigger and anti-reversal latch placement easier)
You do not need expensive branded tools.
If you can find equivalent tools cheaper elsewhere, that’s fine—just ensure the driver set covers Phillips, Torx, and hex/Allen sizes.
