As Airsoft Online Japan looks toward 2026, new events and initiatives are being planned to strengthen both gameplay and community. From a reworked Operation Shadow Strike to a spring Old West–themed event with strict equipment limits, the year ahead focuses on purposeful design, increased engagement, and meaningful player input. Expanded game frequency, off-field excursions, and training-focused days are also under consideration, all shaped by direct community feedback.

Hacking Terminal Mk.2: Interactive Airsoft Game Prop

The Hacking Terminal Mk.2 is a custom-built electronic game device designed for immersive airsoft and tactical simulation events, running on an ESP32-S3 microcontroller with MicroPython. It creates a timed hacking challenge where players must connect via WiFi, monitor progress on both their phones and an OLED display, and enter randomly generated codes before time runs out. The device establishes a limited-range hotspot forcing players to stay close while they race through a 10-minute countdown filled with periodic code challenges.
