Airsoft Online Japan (AOJ) was created in 2023 as a means to bring airsoft players living in or visiting Japan together in a multilingual environment to offer information, events, meetups, and charter games, as well as to provide a platform to buy, sell, trade, repair, and help each other without a language barrier.
We host monthly airsoft games at various fields throughout Tokyo and Chiba, where players can collaborate with groups, influencers, content creators or just each other.
If you want to join one of our games, check the events section and register.
All of our props are meticulously designed and hand-crafted by Bravo Nineteen, who personally handles every step—from cutting and drilling to wiring, soldering, programming, and rigorous testing—to ensure top-tier performance.
These props have drawn significant interest from airsoft fields, with several owners asking about purchasing or renting them for their games. Each device requires up to 50 hours to design, build and test. Designed with simplicity in mind, they are equipped with multiple functions to offer greater gameplay variety and flexibility.
Airsoft Online Japan is more than just a community, it’s a unique gathering of individuals from diverse nationalities and backgrounds. We reinvest any earnings directly into enhancing the events we host. Our aim is not only to create dynamic games but also to develop versatile, functional, and modular props that can be adapted as needed, ensuring fresh and exciting gameplay options.
BAKUDAN (bomb in Japanese) has been heavily upgraded with a 130dB alarm, failsafe fuse system, relay switch, and running through homemade circuitry and a voltage stabiliser with improvement power management to ensure the 11.1V LiPo battery lasts for multiple games.
This is the newest addition to the BAKUDAN family and has seen significant improvements in both hardware and design. This device has been customised to run on two rechargeable batteries and will last several hours until it needs to be charged.
This is the daddy of all of the builds. Equipped with tamper proof failsafes, multiple fuses, voltage recorders, and a powerful 150dB siren attached to a 12V battery and relay system. The vest is unforgiving, as disconnecting the wrong wire means game over. To make matters worse, it beeps every second as it counts down but the wearer cannot see how much time is left!
The Code Breaker is an information device that can decipher codes, give hints and clues, give game objectives or other information. Codes are preinstalled and information is displayed according to the code entered. Each unit will also have a map pouch to give further information. It also has a GPS and transceiver installed to relay data to other devices.
The Bio Injector is used for the 28 Seconds Later game (a twist on the movie 28 Days Later), where a team of operators must wade through hordes of near unstoppable 'infected' to retrieve the injector case and extract it before they become completely overwhelmed.
Bravo Nineteen - or simply 'Nineteen' - comes from the UK and has lived in Japan for more than a decade so far. He has two children and enjoys airsoft, video games, camping and other outdoor activities. Since Nineteen is autistic, he doesn't appear too social and seems a little distanced from people or somewhat unintentionally brusque, very direct and with a dark/controversial sense of humour at times. But when in battle, he finds his place quickly and his skills and intelligence shines. Nineteen acts as the driving force behind the community, making plans, organising games and events as well as managing and creating props to be used at chartered games.
Mirage was invited by Bravo Nineteen to make her debut at an indoor field. Compared to the other members, she has less knowledge and interest in guns, but she likes the sport and enjoys playing with her friends as well as the tactical and logical thinking it requires. At AOJ, Mirage takes on multiple roles, including event planning and support, account and finance management, interpretation/translation, and other support roles to help the community thrive and run smoothly.
Kilo 01 has been playing airsoft for a long time and specialises as a quartermaster due to his large inventory of airsoft equipment, ranging from handguns, sub-machines guns and assault rifles to shotguns and even light machine guns. Kilo serves as a team leader and game master, managing the flow of games, as well as training new players, managing safety procedures and participant activity and supporting the other leaders at busy events.
Defrowe Airsoft—also known as Stuart—is a regular participant in our charter and regular games. He provides event support as well as promotes AOJ on his social media channels, working together with us to make airsoft more fun and enjoyable for everyone. Defrowe now utilises his unique airsoft skills, strategic planning and leadership experience to take on a team leader role at our charter games as well as helping with event management.
Aggots started playing in Japan in 2017. He had wanted to try airsoft for many years and finally found a group of friendly foreigners who eased him into it and gave him a lot of advice. Aggots, sporting his famous shorts all year round, generally flanks enemies and thins out their numbers, enabling his teammates on the front lines to complete objectives. He serves as a friend, photographer, event supporter, barista, and crude joker for the other AOJ leaders.
