First and foremost, thank you to everyone who joined our latest event! Your enthusiasm and participation made the day truly special, and we’re excited about the positive steps we’re taking together.
A Word from Nineteen
Despite feeling under the weather, I was determined to keep the event on track, and your support made it all worthwhile. Your understanding and encouragement during this time meant a lot to me. Together, we turned challenges into memorable moments. However, my bronchitis worsened and am getting treatment to recover quickly and be ready for the next game.
Reflections on the Games
Rush and Hostage Rescue (with reinforcement calls instead of respawns) were designed to test our fitness, navigation skills, and teamwork. This is a game mode that is often used in the military for training purposes and to test soldier’s core abilities and we used this to see how people could fare in a real MilSim game mode. We’re thrilled with the energy and effort everyone brought to these games. Your feedback has been invaluable, and it’s inspiring us to enhance the experience even further. However, these games did seem quite challenging for players to get the gist of them, so we will shelve them for now and rethink a better strategy.
Looking Ahead
We’re excited to announce that we’re developing a new system to better balance our games throughout the day based on their challenge levels. In the mornings, we’ll focus on simple and popular games to get everyone warmed up and engaged. As the day progresses, we’ll introduce more challenging and interactive games in the afternoons.
This approach will not only cater to different skill levels and allow people to warm up, familiarise themselves with the field, but also ensure we make the most out of our props by adjusting game modes accordingly based on the participants and field. We’re committed to creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone, which is why feedback is so essential to helping us improve and select the games you want to play!
