We do not share any contact information you submit with other members, nor do we sell your information to third-parties.
We only store your details for communications purposes if there are problems with bookings, queries or other information related to events, purchases or urgency. We expect members to enter genuine information such as name, email, and phone number. This helps avoid bots and spam accounts.
You will not be added to a mailing list unless you request it.
Before the first game, all guns must be speed checked. Those that refuse, will not be permitted to participate.
BB Weight0.20g0.25g0.28gVelocity98 m/s87 m/s82 m/s
Only airsoft guns that meet the above criteria (in compliance with Japan’s Firearm and Sword Possession Control Law) are permitted. If the gun is slightly over you cannot use it until it meets the velocity requirements. If it is much higher, we will follow local laws. We must confiscate and report weapons that exceed the limits of Japanese firearm laws.
Speed Test
The speed test starts with a long range shot at a target. This checks that the hop-up has not been set to maximum (to lower the velocity). Then, 3 shots are fired into the chronograph. One of the BB’s will be weighed to check the velocity meets requirements. If one shot is slightly over the limit, you will be asked to make adjustments and cannot use the gun until it complies with local laws. If the gun is too far over the limit, the police will be contacted.
Any modifications to the gun on-site or changes in the hop-up will require the gun to be checked again.
Participants must not bring airsoft guns that they know are overpowered. Do not bring guns modified beyond legal limits or designed to cause excessive bodily harm.
If an individual deliberately brings such equipment, they will not be allowed to participate in our events. This is seen as they are disregarding the safety and well-being of other members.
Age
For general games, participants must be 18 years of age or older to join airsoft games. For family friendly activities any difference in age requirement will be stated on the event page.
Alcohol & Substances
Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited before and during the game. Anyone under the influence will not be allowed to participate.
Protective Equipment
Participants must use proper protective gear, including face and eye protection that meets ANSI Z87.1 standards or higher. We strongly recommend participants wear full face protection and head protection at games to prevent injury.
Possible Injury
Participants acknowledge and accept that airsoft is a physically demanding activity. It carries inherent risks such as minor injuries, falls, or accidents. The game organizers are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property resulting from participation in the game.
Participants agree to comply with all safety rules and assume full responsibility for their actions.
Hit Calls
Players must call out “Hit!” loudly and raise their hand or weapon when hit by a BB. Dishonesty will not be tolerated.
If a player does not call hits, they must remove any plate carriers or equipment. This ensures they can feel the hits.
Further issues will result in a time out or dismissal from the event without a refund.
High Speed & Dual Sector Gear Weapons
Guns that fire more than 35 shots per second on full-auto should be used in short bursts. This helps to avoid over-killing participants.
Overkilling
When you shoot someone, be cautious of how many shots hit them and where it hits them. Concentrating multiple shots to an area when you have hit someone is excessive. This is especially important when a person has called their hit.
If someone does not call a hit, shoot them again until they do. But remember that armoured areas and things like bushes/fauna etc. will negate the impact of a shot.
Those that break this rule will face limitations. They will have no full auto. There will be magazine and BB limits. Alternatively, they might be restricted to handguns only or be sent home.
In the event the game has a juggernaut, shoot the armoured parts of the juggernaut and not bare skin. Juggernaut armour is designed to make a sound when hit.
Blind Firing
In general blind firing (shooting without looking in the direction of the BB’s flight path) is not allowed. You do not need to specifically aim down the sight, you must be aware of where the shots are going.
Headshots
To align with best practices for safety and sportsmanship, headshots to the back or side of the head are prohibited.
Headshots should be aimed at hard protective equipment such as helmets or full face masks and not bare skin. Our goal is to maintain a fun, fair, and safe environment for everyone. If you are concerned, please bring adequate face/head protection.
Shooting the head at a distance less than 10 metres is not allowed. This rule does not apply in modes with a specific head shot rule. However, full-head protection will be provided for these games.
Propellants
Standard propellants (e.g., electric, HFC134a gas, air) are allowed unless specified otherwise. Use of restricted substances is strictly prohibited. Players may use alternative propellants at their own risk, provided they comply with muzzle velocity, safety regulations and local laws. Users assume full legal liability for any consequences arising from their propellant choice. We disclaim all responsibility for incidents related to propellant usage.
Physical Contact & Abuse
No physical contact, verbal abuse, or unsportsmanlike behavior is permitted.
Follow Instructions
A leader or game master’s instructions must be followed at all times.
Complaints
In the event of a complaint against a participant, they will be spoken to and if necessary warned by us. Members are not to engage other members in disputes but instead inform someone in charge.
If there are issues with complaints, we have a 5-stage system to manage them. Any offenses can be seen on your profile by yourself and AOJ leaders. This system also addresses other problems with members. These problems may not be in the Terms & Conditions. They are based on complaints by other participants, the field, or our leaders.
At least two AOJ leaders will agree on any formal action. At least two leaders will also be involved in delivering the warning or action.
Courses of action are outlined below.
- Warning and Restrictions
- You will be issued a warning for the violation. Depending on the severity of the offense, restrictions may be applied, such as limitations on weapon or equipment types.
- Further Restrictions
- You will be issued another warning. In order to participate, there will be restrictions on the equipment you use based on the offenses. For example for over-killing, you may not use full-auto or only be allowed to use real capacity magazines. For multiple overpowered weapons, you will be limited to using our rental guns only.
- Temporary Removal
- You will be asked to leave or sit out all remaining games for the day. No refunds will be provided.
- For severe offenses, your future reservations may be canceled, also without a refund.
- Temporary Membership Suspension
- Your membership will be suspended for a period of three months. During this time:
- You will lose access to book events, view event details, and post comments.
- Interaction on our homepage, LINE OpenChat and other communication networks will be disabled.
- Permanent Ban
- If issues persist after your suspension has been lifted, your membership will be permanently revoked.
- You will be blocked from all communication channels, including our media platforms and OpenChat. This step ensures the safety and harmony of the community.
For charter events, we must maintain good relationships with fields. This is achieved with things like advanced booking, submitting accurate attendee listings, prepayments, capacity and pick up agreements. This makes registration essential.
1. Age Requirement
All participants must be at least 18 years of age. No exceptions will be made for underage individuals.
If an event is labeled as “family friendly,” those under 18 will be able to attend. Rules on the event page will supersede this rule.
2. Registration Process
Attendance is contingent upon submission of registration via the AOJ Events Portal. Confirmation will be issued electronically within 24 hours of receipt.
3. Guest Policy
- Primary account holder assumes full responsibility and liability for guest conduct, financial obligations, and compliance with event rules.
- Liability extends to unresolved fees, including non-attendance penalties.
4. Charter Event Payments
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure participation.
- This deposit constitutes a binding contractual agreement between the participant and AOJ.
- AOJ remits processing fees to third-party venues in advance. Cancellations must be requested at least 14 calendar days prior to the event date. Failure to comply forfeits the deposit as it has usually been paid.
5. Ticket Transfers
Transferring tickets is strictly prohibited. As an official community, we must comply with all applicable laws in Japan. As a foreign group, we must also adhere to field regulations. This ensures our logistical work is smooth. It also helps to bolster relations and our image with fields as a foreign community.
Most fields require us to submit a full attendee list in advance, including names, gender, and, in some cases, approximate age. Field operators use this information to verify participants and may approve or deny attendance based on their internal policies.
Last-minute changes can create logistical issues and strain our relationships with field operators. To ensure smooth event management and maintain positive relations with venues, all attendees must adhere to the finalized attendance list.
6. Unscheduled Attendance
Walk-in participation is generally prohibited as we must follow field rules when chartering field usage. Fields generally require an attendance list in advance. This list is used to check the attendees. It helps in the event of a banned participant trying to attend. As a result, a reservation on our homepage is required. Repeated violations will result in:
- Mandatory prepayment
- Immediate denial of entry
If you wish to cancel attendance to an event, please select “Actions” in the My Bookings section of the homepage and cancel your booking.
Please be aware that when we enter an agreement with a field, terms cannot be broken. Attendance lists are sent beforehand for the field to check for potential problems. For example members that may have attended before and caused problems or been banned. Changes are not usually possible. In some cases, certain attendees may be denied if they are on a black list at the field. Some fields will have attendance limits or pickup limits. So cancellation policies must reflect the agreements we make with fields.
For chartered games, at least 14 days notice is required to cancel. If suitable notice is not given, members will still be counted as attending and their fees must still be paid.
Cancellation Fees for all events are calculated as below
- More than 14 days until event – FREE
- 14 days until event – 50% of all booked fees
- 7 days until event – 100% of all booked fees
Elite Members get one free cancellation per year that omits the above fees. After this the fees are chargeable.
Cancelled tickets cannot be passed to other members/participants or sold to anyone.
If members do not come to an event without notice, (flaking), they will have an email sent about non-attendance and an invoice for payment will be issued as well as a warning. If the invoice is not paid within 7 days, the member will have all future bookings canceled and cannot participate in any activities until the invoice has been paid.
To rectify this, email us with the reason for non-attendance, and pay all fees owed within 7 days of the event date.
If participants frequently cancel or flake from events, prepayment will be necessary for all future events.
If a regular or elite member has a guest that doesn’t attend without suitable notice, the inviting member is liable for their costs.
If a cancellation request is made 14 days or more before the event, a refund will be given.
Remittance/processing fees will be at the cost of the recipient for refunds.
If a cancellation request is not in suitable time, no refund can be given.
If a refund is requested for purchased goods, it can only be initiated if the item has either not been made/shipped.
Some fields offer a pick-up service. We are able to organise this on your behalf if given suitable notice.
If we book a field without an adequate pick-up service that is too far to walk, we can rent a vehicle for pickups. The cost would then be distributed equally among those using the vehicle.
In the event people are late for a pickup, the vehicle will depart without you. In the event it is a paid service, you still must pay your share.
