October Game Planning & Poll

As we wind down for our summer sabbatical, I find myself already looking ahead to our October charter game. Rest? Not quite! I’m excited to start planning, but I need your input to shape the event into something truly memorable.

Reflecting on our spring finale-a fantastic two-day game and camping experience-I’m considering kicking off the new season in a similar way. This time, though, I’d love to take it up a notch. How about a three-day event with a story-driven theme? I’m envisioning a dynamic scenario: counter-terrorists versus a terrorist cell, with branching missions and evolving objectives throughout the day.

I’m also thinking about upgrading our gear and props. Should we rework some of our current setups, or dive into building something entirely new? Ideas on the table include:

  • A new game management timer with horns
  • An advanced bomb prop with wire disconnection, code input, and fuses
  • Improvements to the bomb vest and domination devices

Your feedback is crucial. I often don’t get much direct input-sometimes I overhear things or just assume everything’s working. As someone who’s autistic, reading the room isn’t always easy for me, so clear communication is extra important. Please take a moment to vote in the poll and let me know your preferences. If you have more ideas or suggestions, I’d love to hear them in the comments below!

Current Plan

We’re gearing up for our next big event: a story-driven Sunday game featuring a showdown between the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) and Black Talon (Terrorists)-with a twist. This scenario will include civilians who could be taken hostage, sleeper agents hidden among the crowd, and branching storylines where the outcome of each game changes the course of the next. Perks and advantages will carry over, making each session unique and challenging for both sides.

After discussions with other leaders, there’s been interest in expanding the event with a Saturday game and a camp the night before. This would give us more time to build camaraderie, try new missions, and enjoy the full experience together.

But I want your input: should we stick with just the Sunday game, or add a Saturday session and camp? Your feedback will help shape the schedule and ensure everyone gets the most out of the event. Please vote in the poll to let your preference be known, and if you have ideas or suggestions, drop them in the comments below.

Let’s make this the most immersive and memorable series yet-your voice matters!

Prop Poll

Please let us know what matters most to you. If the game props and equipment upgrades aren’t important to your experience, feel free to skip this section. Your honest feedback will help us focus on what really makes these events special for everyone.
